Vintage Sampler Embroidered II Handmade Quilt

The backing fabric choice was the basis for this quilt.  The white flowers sketched in different stages of blooming is too large an image to "show off" in typical blocks in a quilt top.  I selected a rose thread to do the embroidery work on the nine 18" blocks.  The images include Madala, Simple Mandala, XX, XX Vintage, and Dream Catcher from Jack Dempsey Needle Art collection.  The stitching used includes cross stitch and the much more time-consuming stem stitch.  Even though this 100% cotton quilt measures 59" x 60," it included in the bed-sized category.  It would be a lovely gift for a flower lover!
