Q. Why is muslin used in some of the quilts?

A. Muslin is a cotton fabric. It was more popular as a quilt lining in the past. The muslin I used for some of my earlier quilts was premium 100% cotton muslin. The muslin provides a “flatter” look, no loft, to the quilts. Muslin lining will also make a quilt heavier, which some like. The batting used in all of the more recent quilts have a batting lining. The batting is 80% cotton and 20% polyester fibers. A batting lining adds loft to a quilt and enhances more even quilting stitching. Batting is lighter weight than muslin as a lining. Q. How do I care for my handmade quilt?

A. My quilts are made from cotton. They are washable in cold water on delicate setting. Tumble dry on low heat. As with any cotton item, after the first washing, the look of the fabric will lose the “pressed” look of new fabric.

 

Q. How do I know if your quilts will fit my mattress?

A. Since there's a wide variety of mattress with pillow tops, padding, etc., it's highly recommended that you take measurements. See more here: Quilt Size Guide

 

Q. Do you do commissioned or custom quilts?

A. No, I don't offer this service. 

 

Q. How long does it take to receive my items once I place an order?

A. Most items are shipped within 3 days and usually sooner. I will send you tracking information as soon as it's available. If more than 5 days have gone by and you haven't received any message from me, feel free to contact me at here: Contact Me. If your order will be delayed longer than 5 days, I will notify you.

Q. Do you ship outside of the US?

A. I only ship to the continental US.



Q. Can I return an item?

A. I want you to love your quilt. If you need to return your unused quilt, you may do so within 14 days of receiving it. You will be responsible for all return shipping charges. Once the quilt is received and inspected, you will receive a refund. Original shipping charges aren't refundable. Please contact me to initiate a return here: Contact Me

 


Q. What if my package/item is damaged?

A. If you receive an item that is damaged, please contact me immediately. Do not discard the item or the packaging until you hear back from us. Contact Me
