Square Insert Handmade Quilt

Many brilliant batik fabrics are used to create a striking pattern of colors bounded by black borders.  A square "insert" of a contracting color is embedded in each larger square.  The overall layout of the two sizes of squares creates a unique, striking look.  The black cotton fabric used in the top of the quilt is also used as the backing.  This black cotton fabric has a subtle gray leaf print in it.  The quilt is batting lined.  A great cover for the sofa or bed and a very colorful addition to a home's decor!
