Silk Purse Handmade Quilt

The pattern I found had been called "silk purse" so I will use it here.  The old saying "You can't make a silk purse out of a sow's ear" means you can't make something fine or beautiful out of something that is naturally of inferior or poor quality.  I think this simple, but unique quilt top pattern is beautiful.  I used a variety of blue fabric prints with an occasional bold red fabric.  The majority of the quilt top is a white-on-white fabric with a tiny branch design.  The batting=lined quilt is backed with a navy blue "cross hatch" fabric.
