Samplers Handmade Quilt

The three small 5" block embroidery designs (heart, butterfly, dragonfly) from Jack Dempsey Needle Art are embroidered in 33 different DMC thread colors!  The sampler concept uses cross stitch, stem stitch, daisy stitch, and French knots.  Striking dark red and black dotted fabrics are used in the quilt top and (the black fabric) as the backing.  The layout of the quilt top highlights the embroidered blocks.  The all-cotton, batting-lined quilt is a good size as the lap cover for an easy chair or recliner.  As with all of my quilts, it is machine washable.  This quilt would be a perfect gift for someone who enjoys embroidery work.
