Christmas Ornaments I Handmade Quilt

Christmas ornaments are the star of this quilt.  Twelve different Christmas ornaments are embroidered using the delicate, time intensive stem stitch.  Each symbol of Christmas or the winter season is on display in its own crystal-clear ornament.  Symbols include a poinsettia flower, candy canes, a snowman, Santa, Mrs. Claus, Santa's helper, etc.  The 16 embroidered blocks alternate with a modern "zig zag" Christmas tree fabric and matching colors stripe fabric.  The batting-lined quilt is backed with the tree fabric used in the quilt top.  This quilt could easily become a family favorite and heirloom
