Christmas Ornaments II Handmade Quilt

This quilt is very similar to my Christmas Ornaments I quilt.  The same twelve different embroidered blocks each with a Christmas or winter season symbol are used.  Each is displayed in a crystal-clear ornament.  The stitching used is the delicate, time intensive stem stitch.  The symbols in this quilt include a gingerbread man, Christmas bells, Santa's sleigh, Christmas doves, Santa, a poinsettia flower, etc.  The 16 embroidered blocks alternate with a red stripe Christmas fabric and a modern "zig zag" Christmas tree fabric.  This batting-lined quilt is backed with the stripe fabric used in the quilt top.  This quilt could easily become a holiday favorite and family heirloom.
